Mundame is the new local label you’ll want to keep an eye on

The baby-fresh label launches today.

Melbourne fashion designer Elizabeth Hutchinson has a penchant for reviving outdated silhouettes. Intrigued by fashion’s fluctuating nature, her practice takes old trends and patterns and brings them back to life.

You may have seen Elizabeth’s work featured at last year’s MSFW Emerging RMIT Runway. Fresh out of fashion school, the designer already has us excited. Her label Mundame is launching today, with its debut collection, Forego.

Designed and made in Melbourne, the collection is a nod to the late ’90s, showcasing frilled hems, a clashing cherry and orange palette, and flared pants.

Like a visit to Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, the Forego lookbook puts a spotlight on vintage prints and eccentric colourways.

Have a squiz above, if you’d like to see the full range. It’s all available from 7pm tonight.
