Tkay Maidza: TKAY

That good.

You’d be forgiven for thinking you’d accidentally popped on an M.I.A album from the opening strains of Tkay Maidza’s latest. And then followed it up with some FKA twigs, Azealia Banks and Charli XCX. Yep, it really is that good.

TKAY is the perfect pairing of gritty hip hop and pop, a fusion that seems to still elude even the best.

Our local rapper du jour has come a long way from her festival hit ‘Brontosaurus’ and we should be proud as punch that we have an Aussie chick killing the rap game (without even a hint of that tired ‘Aussie hip hop’ flavour).
