The two premier fragrances are inspired by the 1943 opening night of Peggy Guggenheim’s Exhibition by 31 Women, the first all-female modern art show in the United States. Scent No. 57 draws on the warmth, wood and amber of Guggenheim’s gallery, with whiffs of aged whiskey, cinnamon bark, labdanum and vanilla. Contrastingly, No. 31 captures the excitement of the crowd and evening’s cocktails, with red vermouth, eau-de-vie accord, Bulgarian rose and damson plum.
The scents launch today, but naturally on American time, so keep eyes on the J.Crew site for updates.
