We asked models their beauty routines

Dream thing.

Let’s be honest here, we have some serious model envy.

And the best way to figure out how to get that model bod/skin/hair is to actually ask how they do it. So we’ve been doing just that.

We pulled aside Angel Allan and Maddy Mark-Seymourfrom Azalea Models, just after their shoot with Alyssa Cavanagh, to find out all about their beauty routines.

What’s your daily beauty regime?
Maddy: I moisturise my body when needed but I have found that I have best results when I just let my skin do its thing!
Angel: I cleanse and tone my face every morning and night, along with a moisturiser to keep my skin feeling fresh.

Name one beauty product you always carry.
Maddy: Coconut oil for moisturiser.

Angel: A lip gloss or nude lipstick.

How do you handle a breakout?
Maddy: I don’t get them but I’d advise cleaning up your diet and letting your skin breathe when possible.
Angel: Whenever I have a breakout I will exfoliate more often, drink plenty of water to flush my body and use a mild acne cream to keep it under control.

What is the best beauty advice you’ve ever been given?
Maddy: Learn to love your skin without make-up, so you don’t always feel like you need to wear it to look beautiful and feel comfortable in your skin.

Angel: Cleanse, tone and exfoliate!

How do you keep your skin clear and healthy?
Maddy: Drink lots of water and eat a healthy, abundant vegan diet.
Angel: I keep my skin clear by eating healthy and drinking plenty of water. I don’t wear make-up that often and when I do, it’s very minimal.

Do you have any tips for getting ready in a short amount of time?
Maddy: Keep calm and don’t rush too much because chances are you’ll stuff it up and have to redo it again!
Angel: Personally, when I’m pushed for time, I will keep my skin completely natural and my hair will be in a simple do (such as a bun or left down). I will use a gloss or nude colour on my lips and a bit of mascara. If you have limited time, simple and natural is better!

How do you handle a bad hair day?
Maddy: I have a number of Davroe hair products to suit my curly hair type that usually do the trick!
Angel: I would usually just throw my hair up in a messy bun, it’s an easy do for a bad day!
