The fashion at Wednesday night's Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) may have been Modern Love but the hair was definitely channelling the '70s.
Inspired by the 'It Girl' and Brigitte Bardot, the hairstyles worked to complement outfits from Alexi Freeman, Asilio, Bless’ed are the Meek, Búl, Gorman, Kuwaii, Leonard St., Limedrop, Matcho Suba and YB J’aime.
There were shapes and patterns for the coming spring that suited both the refined and playful style.
So how can you get Wednesday night's hair? Here are three simple steps to rocking that '70s look:
Apply Kevin Murphy Body Builder (RRP $35.95) to damp hair and dry in to create volume and texture. Divide the hair into two sections securing the bottom into a ponytail at the nape of the neck.
Prep the hair with Kevin Murphy Session Spray (RRP $32.95). Use a large tong through the top of the hair to create a wave and then wave the ponytail. Back comb the crown and create a centre part, drape the hair over the ear and secure with bobby pins.
Apply Kevin Murphy Powder Puff (RRP $36.95) to the mid-lengths and ends to add texture and then finish with Kevin Murphy Shimmer Shine (RRP $39.95).
You can find the Kevin Murphy range through a number of stockists as well as online.
