Beauty report: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin

♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎

Name: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin
Price: $33
What it does: A pigmented eye priming elixir which promises to prep the eye for “smoother, more vibrant, crease-free shadow and all-day wear.”
Available from: mecca.com.au

How it feels/smells/looks

A squeeze tube with a jazzy lid and doe-foot wand applicator. It’s a fragrance-free, matte gelatin cream with a luminous finish.

Why I like it

OooO so many reasons: firstly, the colour. The champagne-y finish makes it pretty enough to wear alone. I found myself simply applying the primer and leaving it at that, no shadow over the top. When adding colour to the lid however, it was extremely pigmented and created a nice base. It decreased transfer too.

Areas for improvement

While I didn’t have a problem with it, my sister pointed out that a doe-foot applicator could be kind of unhygienic – especially for a product that’s being applied to an eyelid. But I’m not too precious about that kind of thing, so carry on.

Final comments

It’s worth noting that this formula is Paraben free AND Urban Decay is known as a cruelty-free brand, committed to ending animal testing.

Always a plus.
