Role description

The Showroom Manager’s main objective is to be able to manage the showroom with the aid of a Showroom assistant. The primary objective of the function is to facilitate the efficient flow of the showroom and general office.

Showroom

  • Receive ranges seasonally from clients and set them up in the showroom 
  • Fill editorial requests 
  • Stock and database set up and maintenance 
  • Sending in/out stock – when assistance is needed from showroom assistant 
  • Book, log and monitor local, interstate and international couriers – when help is needed from showroom assistant 
  • Maintain overall presentation and upkeep of store room – when help is needed from showroom assistant
  • Chase outstanding returns and support sample turnover for the showroom – oversea showroom assistant 
  • Book showroom appointments 
  • Conduct media showings with junior fashion editors 
  • Flat lay requests 
  • Assess who has not been in the showroom and co-ordinate showroom appointment 
  • Intern management 

Client/Media Liaison and Admin

  • Provide media with editorial credits 
  • Weekly image brief check in with media 
  • Maintain overall presentation of showroom 
  • Assist with event and fashion shows 
  • Build and develop media contacts 
  • Handle showings and requests from showroom manager in her absence 
  • Maintain press clipping files and provide copies to clients where necessary 
  • Verbal updates for clients 
  • Weekly WIP progress updates to showroom manager at Monday meetings
  • Maintain updated records of all contacts in the contacts database 
  • Update client contact information 
  • Day to day administration of office: answering telephone, taking messages, fielding media and general enquiries, correspondence with clients and media, making appointments, showroom, maintenance, postage 

Reporting

  • Scan editorial and draft weekly emails for Junior Account manager to send to client 
  • Client Monthly reporting 
  • Event and Project reports for directors when necessary 
  • Weekly WIP reports to be sent to entire team with action points
  • All of the duties listed above are a baseline overview of what is required of your daily role at Bonél PR. At times there may be additional duties that you will be required to participate in. The account directors will inform you of additional tasks as they arise.
