Job description

Jo Mercer is looking for an energetic, motivated and passionate Marketing Coordinator, reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, delivering strategy initiatives across social media, PR/media, store and shopping centre promotional activities, content development for online and affiliate marketing. No two weeks will be the same. You will be creatively minded, have exceptional organisational skills, an ability to multi-task, prioritise and get a result in a fast paced fashion retail environment. 
 
Key responsibilities: 
  • Support the creation of marketing strategies, content plans, competitor market research and keyword research, implement across platforms such as social media, EDM and Webshop
  • Elevating brand identity through sourcing and building relationships with social influencers & media, researching and discovering trending topics, community needs, and interests of our audience across social media, adjusting content and message accordingly
  • Manage social media accounts, audience contact and scheduling of content, monitoring all brand related conversations and address important mentions in realtime through engagement, escalation or documentation
  • Copywriting utilising SEO best practice across all content including but not limited to category description, product description and landing pages.
  • Store and shopping centre marketing communication and execution
  • Social media content supply to shopping centre management and media
Ideal candidate attributes:
  • Experience in PR within the fashion or lifestyle sector
  • Technical abilities connected with web, ecommerce platforms and code
  • Understanding of SEO
  • Experience in liaising with technical resources/developers, creatives(graphic designers, photographers, stylists, fashion designers, etc) and media
  • Familiar with solutions such as Instagram, Facebook, Microsoft office, Magento, Wordpress, Google Analytics, MailChimp, RMS, AdWords, Criteo, Tealium, YouTube, Adobe Photoshop.
  • Proven copywriting skills
Candidate requirement:
  • 2 years experience in marketing, PR and/or ecommerce
  • Advanced computer literacy 
  • Ability to work and thrive under tight deadlines, and able to react efficiently to sudden change in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organisational, time and self-management skills
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork oriented, able to take initiative and work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
