Role Description

To be considered for the role the following skills are required:  

  • Have at least 2 years employment experience in womenswear design/product development 
  • Have an understanding of the OnceWas brand position & customer 
  • Have a design aesthetic that suits the brand and able to confidently contribute to the design process, through research, forecasting and product development with the head designer.
  • Good communications skills especially in communicating with off shore suppliers 
  • Have an understanding of sampling & production timelines & able to priorities in order to meet deadlines 
  • Experienced and competent in using Adobe design suite & Excel
  • Have a good understanding of fabrics, garment construction & details required to achieve a high level of garment quality 
  • Competent in creating spec sheets to issue to manufacturers for sampling & costing 
  • Good time management skills & ability to follow up sampling production 
  • Able to communicate fabric, trim & garment details to off-shore manufacturers
  • Strong work ethic & happy to pitch in where needed 
  • Have a keen eye for detail 
  • be able to work autonomously as well as, part of a close team
