Alison Hope Murray’s debut collection is a winner. Titled None Of Your Beeswax, the Autumn/Winter collection focuses on “the fading ideal of the Great Australian Dream”.
Small town rural meets fantastical futurism. Made entirely from knit and latex, the garments deconstruct typical Aussie work wear, like the flannel shirt, the Driza-Bone coat, the Rainbird rain jacket, the Bonds chesty singlet, and horse riding gear.
It’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Typical autumn shades are contrasted with bright yellow and turquoise, and oversized contemporary silhouettes are complemented by complex graphics.
Alison’s got a pretty impressive resume, having worked at Christopher Esber, Romance Was Born, House of Harlot, Balenciaga and Marc by Marc Jacobs. We predict a blindingly bright future for this gal.
