Beth Ditto has launched her first stand-alone plus size collection, first revealed in December last year.
The 11-piece collection features vintage-style dresses, tailored pencil skirts and hand-embroidered denim jackets, all available in sizes 14-28.
Ditto, who is no stranger to homemade clothes, describes the line as uncompromising, unapologetic and timeless.
“I wanted to make pieces to last years. Beyond trends, beyond chain stores. I wanted to create something all its own, something just for us.”
She recalls wearing tablecloths made into dresses and being handed “nothing but sheets” when dressed by stylists in days gone by.
“Like most girls over a size 14, I’m no stranger to getting creative with off-the-rack clothes. As a teen I combed thrift shops for cool pieces that could be cut, stretched, altered, or reimagined to fit my body.”
