Independent clothing label Handsom continues to dominate, creating modern essentials that transcend seasons. This is seen in the brand’s AW16 collection, which is both understated yet confident.

The collection is an ode to ’70s silhouettes: think flared jeans and stonewashed workwear. These features are juxtaposed with the use of technical materials like bonded waterproof fleece and bamboo-microfibre.

Designers chose to hand paint the clothing, favouring a palette of muted coral, sage and cobalt blue. These bright tones are paired with neutrals such as white, navy and grey.

We know where our next pay cheque will be going.
