The traditional romantic aesthetic we have come to expect from Lover has toughened up this season. The SS14/15 collection Zodiac sees a re-working of time-honoured Lover fabrics, in a bid to deliver modern wardrobe choices to a loyal customer base.
In a play of contrasts, Zodiac juxtaposes the toughness of leather with the delicacy of lace, using symmetry and cutwork to ensure fluidity of the collection. Lace is emboldened by placement, while leather is softened by flounce.
Despite their apparent change in direction, Lover’s signature femininity is not lost, with fitted silhouettes and length ensuring their latest offering remains, well, lovely.
