The lineup for last night's Premium Runway 5 read like some sort of fairytale.

A feminine selection of designers were on show, including the ethereal Alex Perry and king of draping, Christopher Esber, alongside Carla Zampatti, Martin Grant and Yeojin Bae.

Streamlining womenswear, designers kept pieces clean and elegant with lines to flatter the female form. Again there was a focus on texture (the season calls for wool, leather and silk) and palettes were minimal, with the exception of Perry's powder pink and Esber's rich merlot.

In keeping with the feminine theme, lace, draping and flounce were prominent yet restrained in designs. It was a satisfying balance between modern and girly, and a nod to the past aesthetic of those on show.
