VFiles - the “never subtle” event, according to founder Julie Anna Quay - proved again to be a punchy, eclectic mix at NYFW this year.

The runway event featured both up-and-coming and VFiles’ design, with bold colour and mixed texture proving to be a strong theme throughout the night. With the Sports Plus line leading the procession for VFiles, the runway continued to host collections from Adrea Jiapei Li, Julia Seemann, Ximon Lee and homegrown heroes DI$COUNT UNIVERSE.

Sequins, mesh, and recycling are materials rarely seen together, yet for VFile’s show they made more than a guest appearance, creating bold and often structurally unusual looks.

Yet another fashion-forward event for the NYFW lineup with promising future talent. Nice one, VFiles.
