A cultural night out for the fashion lover.

Words by

Kirsten Biacsi

Screening 21st Feb to 8th March, VAMFF and ACMI present a journey through history’s iconic trends, on film, to explore the evolution of fashion.

From pre-war to Twiggy to modern-day RiRi, this collection of short-films and documentaries create an extensive exploration of iconic design and seasonal trends from then to now. A movie-loving, on-trend girl’s version of a museum sans science or natural history (phew), Fashion on Film presents an opportunity for a night of culture and fashion. With not an opera or a magazine in site.

Looking for a Saturday night that isn't spent flipping through fashion mags and Sex and the City reruns? Here’s the season scoop.
