David Lynch's Twin Peaks defines eeriness.

Words by

Sinead Stubbins

The first television show of its kind which has been copied relentlessly since, Twin Peaks was equal parts creepy, dramatic, nonsensical and bloody hilarious. It also gave us characters such as Laura Palmer (never forget), Audrey Horne, Donna Hayward, Josie Packard and Shelly Johnson with style inspiration for days.

Think bright red lipstick, brogues, thick tights, fluffy jumpers over tight pencil skirts and lots of hair mousse. Also, layering - these gals were masters of layering. Twin Peaks may have been known for supernatural murders, but it should have been known for turtlenecks and faux-fur coats.
