So because Karl jumped back on our radar this week, after some pretty lol-worthy comments regarding sustainability, we thought we’d dedicate this week's style vibes to fashion’s own king.

A style icon, Largerfeld knows just how to dress for every occasion. He’s nailed formal, street chic, grunge and everything in between. He never wears the same thing twice and he is constantly re-inventing his look...

Who are we kidding? At least we always know what to expect. And there are a few things we’ve come to learn about Karl’s style:

  • We can assume he wears a suit jacket and tie to bed, because: “Everyone should go to bed like they have a date at the door.”
  • He will never not wear his sunglasses. “They’re my burqa...I’m a little short-sighted and people, when they’re short-sighted, they remove their glasses and they look like cute little dogs who want to be adopted.”
  • He will never, ever, wear trackies. “Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life so you bought some sweatpants.”
  • He’ll always wear black and white because it is at the forefront of style. “Black and white always looks modern, whatever that word means.”

Below: Karl Lagefeld's ever-changing style, as pictured in Kim Kardashian Hollywood.
