She’s a singer, actor and ‘It Girl’ who managed to transcend her five minutes of fashion fame and stretch it out for fifty years.

It’s easy to see why Marianne Faithfull is still cool: she’s funny, creative, still looks great in a peacoat and of course, had the original celebrity ‘wifey’ in Anita Pallenberg.

She was frequently on the cover of newspapers, gallivanting around London with Mick Jagger and gossip about her (like the time Keith Richards’ house was searched by police and Marianne was found inside only wearing a fur coat) only increased her glamour.

Fifty years later, she is the new face of Saint Laurent. Pretty good innings, huh?
