Ethical Clothing Australia has launched a new website and it’s actually really cool

One for the world.

Whether you are a conscious shopper, designer or retailer, the world of ethical fashion just got a whole lot easier to navigate.

Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA) has just relaunched its website and it’s actually really cool, for a bunch of reasons.

1) The site provides clear and simple information for brands. It walks though the ECA accreditation process, so brands, designers and labels can easily see if they fit the ‘ethical clothing’ bill and what steps they need to take. It means we’ll hopefully see an even stronger push for Aussie labels to jump on the sustainable-production bandwagon.

2) It’s a directory for shoppers, specifically tailored to help shoppers understand the ECA accreditation process. There are profiles on all the accredited brands, enabling you to easily access labels that support the Australian textiles industry and are manufactured locally. It means it’s easy to find brands that are doing the right thing.

3) It promotes sustainable, Australian-manufactured goods and transparency in the industry. Because the fashion industry is heading in the right direction, but there’s still a long way to go and a lot to learn.

4) The ECA links ethical manufacturers with businesses, providing labels with access to local makers and bringing the industry together.

Sounds pretty great, huh? That’s because it is. Shop sustainable.
