H&M tapped models of different races, ages and sizes for its Paris Fashion Week show

Too good.

In not-so-typical fashion week style, H&M spiced up it’s Paris Fashion Week show last night, with models representing a diverse mix of races, ages and sizes.

It follows the campaign of a similar ilk, which saw H&M feature the hijab, a transgender model and an amputee.

H&M’s creative director, Ann-Sofie Johansson, told Fashionista of the show:

“H&M is all about diversity, has always been, and this time we wanted to put more focus on that.”

“Anybody should be able to enjoy fashion, whatever you are, whatever your looks are.”

Over-40 supermodels – Amber Valletta, 42, and Pat Cleveland, 65 – worked the runway alongside transgender models Hari Nef and Andreja Pejić.

The runway also featured plus size model Ashley Graham, who recently made the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition.

Popular models Jourdan Dunn, Devon Windsor, Andreea Diaconu and Natasha Poly also made an appearance, but it’s fair to say they weren’t the ones who stole the spotlight.

Alongside these fierce women, H&M celebrated its Swedish roots with Gaucho hats and tailored neutrals.

It comes at the perfect time. Over the last year we’ve seen a serious jump in inclusive campaigns. Want proof? Click here or here or here or here or here or here or here

Right now we’re all about redefining beauty in fashion, and H&M is showing the world how to do it.
