These flats are made from recycled water bottles

Reduce, reuse, recycle.

We’re starting to see recycled materials play a bigger part in fashion. And we couldn’t be happier.

Based in San Fransisco, Rothy’s is on a mission to deliver environmentally friendly flats with the comfort of a sneaker.

Rothy’s founders, Stephen Hawthornthwaite and Roth Martin, create their range using yarn which was made from recycled PET water bottles. A process which took three years to perfect.

The yarn is printed using a 3D printer, ensuring minimal waste is produced throughout the process.

Available in a variety of colours, with either a rounded or pointed toe, the flats are able to wick away moisture and can also be put in the washing machine when they need a freshen up.

Furthering its commitment to sustainable practice, Rothy’s also encourages you to send your well-loved shoes back for recycling once you’re done with them.

Unfortunately, shipping is currently only available in the US but the website informs us international shipping won’t be far away.
