adidas is releasing a 3D-printed Ultra Boost made from recycled plastic

The future is now.

If you thought the Yeezy x adidas collaboration was the best thing to happen since they started making Golden Gaytimes in tubs, think again.

adidas is bringing out a new collection of recycled ocean plastic sneakers that is both environmentally sustainable and aesthetically gorg.

Following the first drop earlier this year, the sportswear brand has announced a new range made from 3D-printed recycled plastic.

adidas has joined forces with Parley for the Oceans, an organisation aimed at raising awareness of the environmental destruction for the oceans, to release a second drop of plastic-made sneakers.

The collection features an Ultra Boost and a Pure Boost X in the colours of the ocean, with a 3D-printed midsole made from recycled polyamide and an upper made from used plastic sourced from the Maldives.

The first drop only featured 50 pairs of the sustainable sneaker and was only available through a competition. Here’s hoping the new drop isn’t quite as limited.

The launch date is still under wraps, but stay tuned for updates.
