Start collecting those coat hangers

Calling all independent designers and those just needing to make a bit of space in the wardrobe. It’s time to book your stall for April at The Fashion Market.

This gem of a market is held every Saturday at the Queen Victoria Market, curating independent and emerging designers as well as an abundance of vintage and pre-loved items.

If you fit into either of these categories, you better start collecting those coat hangers. You can nab a trader stall for a day at $90. Or, if you want to commit and create a presence for yourself at the market, you can book in for four or more Saturdays and get a discount.

Looking to pass on some garments or vintage finds and don’t have enough to fill the 3 x 2.5 metre space? The Rack ’n’ Roll stall will be the one for you. At only $65, you don't even have to BYO rack as the market will supply one for you.

The Fashion Market prides itself on a sustainable, transparent approach to fashion. So the one rule for independent designers is that your garments need to have been ethically made. A good rule to stand by in the first place.
