Entering the global market.

It’s no news to anyone that Australian fashion is quickly gaining recognition throughout the global market.

An increasing number of local designers are debuting their collections overseas; local fashion weeks are attracting even more international buyers and media; and a plethora of retailers are opening their doors overseas.

Including David Jones.

The retail giant has announced its first step in a global expansion, with the doors to its first international store opening next month.

So where is this new store to be located we hear you pleeeading for answers? New Zealand.

Rumour has it the store will include premium features such in-store online shopping stations, free Wi-Fi, omni mirrors, and a ~lush~ customer chill area complete with charging stations (yes).

Although the new location is only a stone’s throw away from Oz, the expansion is bucking the trend of an increasing number of department stores shutting their doors.

Proud of youuuu.
