In a time of intense political pressures and global division, it’s nice to be reminded of all the love still left in the world.
Diesel has released another head-turning campaign, this time taking aim at Trump’s proposed wall between the US and Mexico.
The Make Love Not Walls video shows how love and unity can overcome hate, with dancing, celebrating and kissing destroying the wall.
A rainbow blow-up tank also plays its part by breaking a heart-shaped hole in the wall. It’s beautiful.
Diesel tapped notable fashion photographer David LaChapelle to direct the video, who also worked on the brand’s iconic 1995 campaign of two same-sex sailors kissing.
Creative director Nicola Formichetti said in a statement: “At Diesel, we have a strong position against hate and more than ever we want the world to know that.”
To further communicate this message, the rainbow blow-up tank featured in the campaign will go on a world tour, starting today in London.
