More than just a pretty dress.

Not only is MeiMei Xu's collection Wrappage beautiful, it also gets you thinking about more than just the clothes.

The idea behind MeiMei's collection, featured at this year's MSFW, is all about the experience of the garment.

We forget the process of wrapping and packing garments, because we're just so excited to get them home and wear them.

Wrappage explores the ways that wrapping and packaging affects the experience, the feelings and the assumed identity associated with what we're buying.

It also highlights the connection between wrapping and garments. They're both to protect or cover, and in unwrapping, we get both curious and excited.

Now that's something to think about.
