The first images from Christophe Lemaire’s Uniqlo U collection are here

Kind of a big deal.

Thursday October 13. Remember this day, people.

Why? This is the day the new Uniqlo U Collection will launch in Australian stores.

If you’re wondering it’s a big deal, this is the first venture for Christophe Lemaire alongside his new Uniqlo Paris R&D Center team. Lemaire was announced as the artistic director of the brand back in June, in case you don’t recall.

Given the calibre of his past collabs with the retailer, the announcement sent excitement quivers throughout our office and presumably, the world.

The new collection will embody the brand’s LifeWear philosophy, creating innovative, high quality clothing that is universal in design and comfort.

Comprised of men’s and women’s knits, outerwear, dresses and jackets, Uniqlo U pursues innovation in design, fabric selection and stitching. Basically it’s all the reasons why we love Uniqlo.

Lemaire himself is no stranger to international fashion houses, previously holding creative positions at Lacoste and Hermès. Pretty average CV if you ask us.

This is the stuff that minimalist dreams are made of. So Thursday October 13. Remember it.
