Late and legendary designer, Alexander McQueen, is set to get a biopic.

According to Deadline, director Andrew Haigh has signed on to direct the film for Pathe UK.

The film, which will be written by popular playwright Chris Urch, will explore both McQueen’s biography Blood Beneath The Skin and other research materials that were made available to Urch.

We’re expecting the film to capture everything from McQueen’s time working with David Bowie (he was responsible for the famous Union Jack coat), to his time with Givenchy and eventual suicide in 2010.

No word yet on release date but we are pretty excited all the same.
