The First Thread x DreamWorks.

Words by

Laura Kennewell

We’re all about local, independent designers, and we’re defs keen on anything do to with cats. So the new collab between Felix the Cat and The First Thread is everything we could ever ask for.

It’s been quite a while since Felix the Cat emerged on the scene (1919 to be exact). So it’s about time the Australian-designed character got a little revamp.

And who better to help than The First Thread, a platform that aids new designers in showcasing and promoting their work. The curated website displays the best of the up-and-coming talent and allows consumers to purchase directly from the designers. Featured designers include Phoenix Keating, Nylons, Mariam Seddiq and more.

The First Thread has teamed up with DreamWorks to create a limited edition capsule collection. Think mesh tops, body suits and leather pants, all with a hint of Felix the Cat.

The collection will be available online from September 1.
