Levi’s launches a pride campaign with the Harvey Milk Foundation
“Equality for all people, everywhere.”
Levi Strauss has teamed up with the Harvey Milk Foundation to launch a global Pride collection for 2016.
The collection includes an exclusive ringer t-shirt and singlet top with the Harvey Milk bottle graphic, stonewash shorts with a rainbow embroidered watch pocket, and a trucker jacket emblazoned with Harvey Milk’s historic “Hope will never be silent” quotation, among other gender-neutral products.
The collection was inspired by the election of Harvey Milk to public office in 1977 before being assassinated. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Foundation and speak for those courageous and pioneering individuals who will never be forgotten.
Founder and president of the Harvey Milk Foundation, Stuart Milk, said of the campaign: “It is a simple message, marked by dignity and respect, that we embrace all without exception, and keep alive Uncle Harvey’s promise of equality for all people, everywhere.”
The collection will be available from March, in selected locations throughout Australia and Asia.
