Meet Casey Legler, the first female signed exclusively as a male model

The fashion world transcends many boundaries, and gender is but one of them.

Casey Legler is just more living proof that rules and norms are made to be broken, when she became the first female to be signed by Ford Models exclusively as a male model.

Androgyny has long been celebrated in the fashion world- Andreja Pejić just last week graced us with her presence at the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.

At age 37, and having strarted her modelling career just 2 years ago, Legler is basically a unicorn among others who generally age out of the industry much sooner.

And when she’s not shrugging into tailored suits and chomping on cigars for cameras, she is also a former French Olympic swimmer, performance artist and gay activist.
