The Force is Female.

Words by

Tara Smith

2017 marks 35 years of Nike’s Air Force 1.

To celebrate, Nike has tapped long-time collaborator Ruby Rose to front its Force is Female capsule collection.

The capsule features two renditions of the Air Force 1 Low and SF-AF1 styles, arriving in Port Wine and Black Patent colourways. The Port Wine edition utilises rubberised teal accents and neutral midsoles, while the Black Patent features reflective silver hits.

The two colour variations will also be applied to this season’s Blazer Low, Cortez Classic and Air Max 95.

Also inside the shoes are inspirational quotes picked by Ruby Rose herself, including ‘become your own hero’ and ‘with full force’.

The Force is Female collection will be available from select Nike retailers from October 28.
