The future is now guys.

There wasn't a whole lot about the 2015 we live in that Back to the Future got right, except maybe our love of activewear, but there is one thing that is about to be 100% on the money.

Introducing the Nike Mag aka the self-lacing Nike.

The new Nike Mag combines the arechetype invention with new digital technology to bring the famous power laces to life.

“We started creating something for fiction and we turned it into fact, inventing a new technology that will benefit all athletes” as Nike Presdient and CEO Mark Parker put it.

While Michael J. Fox was understandably the first to receive a pair, for the rest of us the Mag's will only be available via auction, with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

And if you don't have twitter, now might be the time to get it, because more details will be released about the auction in Spring/Autumn of 2016 via the @Nike twitter page and Nike News.

That gives you about four months to start getting some serious funds together.

The future is now guys.
