Opening Ceremony strikes back.

Words by

Tara Smith

Opening Ceremony has designed a female Star Wars Stormtrooper costume, ahead of the movie’s release on December 17.

It's part of the #Force4Fashion initiative, an ongoing charity effort in partnership with Bloomingdales that asks 11 designers to create their own Star Wars inspired costumes.

Opening Ceremony’s answer was a more feminine Stormtrooper get-up, inspired by the iconic film saga.

White ultra suede was used to give the costume an armour-like feel, with an ottoman jersey used for the black under layer.

Each separate piece is also bolted together with hand screws, making this one-of-a-kind piece enviable by even the darkest of sith lords.

If this hasn’t satisfied your Star Wars x fashun appetite, you should check out these neat sketches of Star Wars in streetwear.
