Transgender awareness has been in the spotlight lately, and while the fashion world is no stranger to featuring transgender models, it’s still not commonplace.

H&M-owned brand, & Other Stories, has released its latest campaign with just this in mind.

The campaign for the upcoming athletic capsule collection was produced by a transgender team and stars transgender models Hari Nef and Valentijn De Hingh. It feels like a natural progression for & Other Stories, a brand that’s always favoured androgynous style alongside their ultra-feminine pieces.

Creative director Sara Hildén Bengtsson hopes that this campaign will encourage transgender in fashion to become the norm, stressing that the final product of this shoot was just like any other.

Keep an eye out for 'The Gaze & Other Things', a short film documenting the shoot, as well as the collection dropping on August 20. You can check it out here.
