Stella McCartney’s new Ultra Boost is made from recycled ocean plastic

We’re all about this.

Following the 2016 release of the Ultra Boost uncaged Parley, adidas has teamed up with long-term collaborator, Stella McCartney, for a new eco-friendly sneaker release.

McCartney has thrown her support behind the brand’s partnership with Parley for the Oceans, with the designer collaborating with both companies on a sustainable running shoe.

The Parley UltraBOOST X has been designed to reflect the natural form of the female foot, but it’s the construction that’s got us most excited. It’s made from high-quality yarn that’s been recycled from marine plastic.

“For me, preserving and respecting the planet is fundamental to what I do and I always try to make an effort to consider that in my designs,” says Stella of the release.

The Parley UltraBOOST X is available to purchase in Australia for $330 (a price that’s well worth it to support sustainable fashion).
