Taylor Swift for ASOS Magazine

Taylor Swift tells ASOS Magazine the life lessons she’s learnt.

Taylor Swift used to be the girl that everyone made fun of because “all she does is date heaps of guys and sing about heartbreak.”*

Well to those people, I say “Haters gonna hate (hate hate hate hate).” Maybe I’m a little biased because I’ve been to see Taylor in concert twice, but I feel like now she’s become this “it-girl” that everyone has gained an immense amount of respect for.

Taylor Swift imparts some wisdom to ASOS Magazine, with an interview that covers all the life lessons she’s learnt.

“As much as I would really like to have saved myself heartache, embarrassment or gossip, I also know that my biggest mistakes have turned into my best lessons and sometimes my greatest career triumphs… If my life had been turbulence free, no bumps in the road at all, maybe my music would be more beige, maybe the stadiums wouldn’t be so full and the mantle would be a little more empty,” Taylor said.

She also talks about dressing for girls, not boys, how to keep your friendships real, and how to deal with negativity.

*Quote I made up to prove a point.
