If you are taking a trip to New York in the coming months, then you may just want to mark the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology on your map.

The museum has launched a fairy tale-inspired exhibition.

It showcases designers that have taken inspo from a select number of fables, to create exquisite garments that represent much-loved characters.

We're talking names like Alexander McQueen, Rick Owens, Rodarte and Altuzarra. Just to name a few.

The designs are a little more creative than the original character costumes, with designers incorporating important motifs and symbols on period-appropriate looks.

Someone buy us a ticket to NY stat.
