Black is the new black.

Fashion Journal

Fittingly paired and presented by Miss Vogue, VAMFF’s Premium Runway 1 titles are collectively Australia’s fashion heavyweights.

Camilla and Marc, Bassike, Dion Lee, Être Cécile, Scanlan Theodore and TOME all presented their luxury labels to an elite crowd last night, designed for the Australian contemporary, chic, high fashion girl.

Opening with an all-black set by Scanlan Theodore, the runway saw a set carefully curated and almost entirely monochrome collections from some of Australia's best fashion exports. Each designer held their own on the fiercely competitive runway, with signature styles and shapes continuing to impress.

Of note was Dion Lee's seatbelt detailing, Bassike's ultra raw aesthetic and an amazing feathered top by Scanlan Theodore.

The lights were low, the beats were dirty and one message was shriekingly clear. It's official, black is the new black.
