Last night’s MSFW: Spring Carnival runway delivered races-ready collections from Asilio, Keepsake the label, C/MEO Collective, White Suede, Trelise Cooper, Misha Collection, Nicola Finetti and Martin Grant at Christine. It also surprised us with pops of menswear from Aquila, Dom Bagnato and Calibre.

If this show proved anything, it’s a) that racewear should always be showcased against a floral set, and b) that Pantone is everything. Spins on 2015's co-colour of the year, Rose Quartz, dominated palettes from Asilio, Keepsake and Misha Collection, while designers' interpretations of Serenity blue could be spotted throughout.

As expected, there were plenty of Derby Day-inspired black and white pieces to go around, perfected in Nicola Finetti’s off-the-shoulder white gown with black finishes.

The show served as a preview of this year’s Fashions on the Field. Expect off-the-shoulder dresses, fitted silhouettes, lacework and a touch of Victorian glamour.
