Book review: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Like the Aldi of the Harry Potters.

I like to think of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child as the spinoff to the main gig. It’s the Joey to the series’ Friends, the Better Call Saul to its Breaking Bad.

Yes, it’s mildly enjoyable, but it doesn’t come close to satisfying your want for more Harry Potter. Because it’s not really Harry Potter, is it?

It’s more like Aldi, where the HP series is your Woolies/Coles.

The format is slightly different and despite featuring all the key players, something feels strangely ‘off’. Perhaps it’s the fact that Malfoy is a good guy or that the book is actually a play.

Either way, I have very mixed feelings and I’m not sure what to think. It’s good, I guess?
