Peanut. Butter. Brownies.

A fudgey friend to lean on in exam time.

INGREDIENTS (Note: measurements must be exact)
60 grams unsalted butter
120g bittersweet dark chocolate
3 eggs
230 grams caster sugar
42 grams plain flour
30 grams cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
60 grams sour cream
Crunchy or smooth peanut butter (according to mood/situation)

METHOD
1. Melt together butter and chocolate in a glass bowl over a pot of simmering water
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar. Add chocolate mix
3. Sift in flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently with sour cream, careful not to overmix
4. Pour into a lined baking tray
5. Using a piping bag or spoon, place small dollops of peanut butter in and around chocolate mix (it’s sometimes easier to melt peanut butter in microwave for a lil bit). Using a knife, swirl through mixture to create a marbled effect
6. Bake in a preheated LOW 150 degree oven. Check after 22 mins – mixture should still be slightly wobbly with a crisp shell, this could take up to 30-35 mins. In this case, it’s better for a skewer to come out dirty not clean. Use your eye, be knowledgeable, be a masterchef, be confident, and the gooiness will be on point.
7. Eat.

NB: tastes great crumbled on top of a bowl of vanilla icecream while watching latest Orange Is The New Black 😉
