The Queen owns a McDonald’s proving she’s cooler than you thought

I’m lovin’ it.

For those of you who aren’t well-versed in all that’s royal, you’re probably unaware of how cool the Queen actually is.

If being the owner of multiple corgis and sipping down on ample cocktails per day wasn’t enough to cement that point, it turns out ol’ Lizzie is also the proud owner of a McDonald’s.

Yep, Banbury Gateway’s golden arches joined Lizzie’s property portfolio back in 2015 and is described by Business Insider as being “quite modern”. It’s got digital menus, charging pods and even table service. Because of course, The Queen’s own version of the global restaurant would be a little bit ~fancy~.

Located in Oxford, the Banbury Gateway Shopping Park is entirely owned by the Crown Estate. That means a Primemark and Starbucks is also technically owned by the Sovereign in right of the Crown, with profits going to the HM Treasury.
