Women’s Running magazine has put a ‘plus-size’ model on the cover and it’s awesome

Because every body is normal.

Curvy model and total Insta-babe Nadia Aboulhosn has just landed her first ever magazine cover, in Women’s Running.

The model, who is also an avid runner, has used her position to break through the stereotype that to be ‘fit’ you need to be small. The model was originally selected for a feature on fitness/fashion influencers but was quickly selected as the cover star because of her positive energy.

The last ‘plus-size’ model to grace the cover of Women’s Running was in August 2015.

More recently, Sports Illustrated featured model Ashley Graham on its cover, Playboy vowed to stop retouching its images and IMG Models just announced its first plus-size male model division.

We know there’s a long way to go for promoting positive body image in the media, but this is a pretty good start.
