Gahhhhh.

You know Olivier Rousteing, yeah? He’s creative director of Balmain, apparent BFFL’s with Kris Jenner and the mastermind behind the high-low Balmain x H&M collab.

His name is pretty much synonymous with embellishment, silhouettes that shape and contour, and the word ‘luxe’.

In today’s news, he’s also sent the internet cray cray with the announcement of a new collaboration with NikeLab.

Ask us a year ago and we’d never say Rousteing would collab with a sporting brand. Yet here we are, with one insaaane collection that is right on point with the designer’s aesthetic.

What makes this collection 10 times greater is that it has been designed for for functional use by soccer players: both male and female.

Because news flash, women play soccer too.

"At every design review, [Rousteing would] ask, 'Would a football player really wear that?'" said NikeLab Senior Apparel Design Director, Jarrett Reynolds, in a statement.

Yes, yes they would.

Spanning apparel and footwear, the collab will drop June 2. View the full collection above and remember to take deep breaths.
