Very special buys.

Aldi has held a special place in our hearts ever since it released sherpa-lined clogs that one time. But today, it’s one-upped itself again.

For the uninitiated, the supermarket releases ‘Special Buys’ every Wednesday and Saturday – a limited edition product collection of stuff you don’t know you need, until it goes on sale.

Previous Special Buys have included ottomans, bar fridges, marquees and even garden sheds. There’s nothing Aldi can’t do.

This week, the discount supermarket has dropped a line of luxe homewares, including oak serving boards, rose gold cutlery sets and fancy cage pendant lights.

Also included in the drop is a set of salt and pepper shakers that automatically grind when you turn them upside down.

Like we said, stuff you didn’t know you needed.

Check out the range above, and prepare to hit the stores early tomorrow.  At $24.99 for a 16-piece cutlery set, these won’t last long.
