Science is good for a lot of things, but one of the best things coming out of science right now is that alcohol might make us more likely to exercise.
And if science says it, then it has to be true.
According to a team at Northwestern University in Illinois, exercisers are more likely to be drinkers. Grool.
Sadly you won’t get any performance benefits from drinking after you exercise, but apparently you'll be less likely to go nuts on the vino? (Whatever, just go with it.)
Plus, if you’re a wine drinker, then you could also be preventing cardiovascular disease provided you work out regularly.
So is it time we all started having a post workout bevvy? Well, a separate study recently published in Frontiers in Psychiatry proposes that alcohol could enhance your exercise high. So yep, absolutely.
So here’s to wine and actually sticking to those New Year's resolutions.
