Something else.

Now in its 10th year, the iPhone Photography Awards has returned for 2017 with yet another striking collection of winning photographs.

The images chosen for this year’s Awards range from moving and thought-provoking, to dynamic, architectural, warming and serene. Winning shots were selected from submissions of thousands of photographers from over 140 countries, with all images taken using only an iPhone or iPad.

Given the calibre of the shots, it’s a pretty impressive feat.

That said, a little cheating is allowed. Photographers are permitted to use add-on lenses, while images can be edited with iOS apps.

Categories for the Awards include Abstract, Animals, Architecture, Children, Floral, Landscape, Lifestyle, Nature, News and Events, Panorama, People, Portrait, Series (3 images), Still Life, Sunset, Travel, Trees and Other, with the winner of each taking home a literal Gold Bar. Not bad for an iPhone photo.

Check out this year’s winners in the gallery above and of you’re keen to throw your hat in the ring for next year’s IPPAWARDS, entries are now open.
