The Devil Wears Prada revival we didn’t know we needed is in the works.

Entertainment Weekly has reported a musical adaptation of the much-loved book is going ahead and Elton John (as in the genius responsible for The Lion King’s brilliant and heart-warming soundtrack) is composing the music.

“Re-imagining The Devil Wears Prada for the musical theatre is super exciting,” John said in a media release. “I’m a huge fan of both the book and the feature film, and a huge aficionado of the fashion world. I can’t wait to sink my musical teeth into this hunk of popular culture.”

John will be teaming up with playwright Paul Rudnick and producers Kevin McCollum and Bob Cohen.

No word yet on the production timeline, but you can be sure we’ll keep you up-to-date when we know more.
